FORECAST DISCUSSION: Sunny, dry, warm weather can be expected Tuesday across the Rogue Valley before a quick dip in temperatures along with a slight chance for showers moves in Wednesday. This rare August system has a strong area of low pressure that’s expected to stay well north of us. However, the associated front will move in on Wednesday and is likely to bring some rain to our area. The highest probability of rain is along the Coos County Coast, and rain will likely penetrate some distance into the Umpqua Basin and possibly all the way into the Cascades. But that`s probably going to be it for rain. Dry, warmer weather returns Thursday into the weekend.
